Re: About your art at www.theartsource.com

Oh man, as if!!!!
I removed the correspondent's name from the email trail. I imagine that if this individual was going to try this again, they would probably use a different name.
Enjoy.

Ugh! I get these a lot!

I got pretty far with one once (I knew it was a scam) and she wanted me to include 6 cordless Sony brand telephones in the shipment.

I am afraid I have turned into a bit of a profiler. Bad grammar, addresses in Nigeria or India, and urgency tip me off and I hit delete.

What was weird with this one was the detail. This person actually looked at my site and chose a piece. My policy is no shipping until the check clears, so I didn't have a problem until the last email, which is on top of the post.

When I had my work on Absolute Arts, I got a number of these. And it was the same thing too, they asked about specific pieces. I have heard that part of the scam is fake checks and money orders that the bank will initially clear but then later it comes back and you are out the money. A glitch on the banks end but the customer can still be responsible.

Huh!
This was a first for me. I thought the grammar was bad but didn't want to hold that against someone. I had no idea that this was so prevalent.

I had forgotten about posting the work on theartsource. to be honest, I don't make very many internet sales.
